Charity Prom Fayre at St Pierre Hotel in Newmillerdam
Last night I had the chance to stand at Hotel St Pierre in Newmillerdam and showcase some of my magic to many guests looking for entertainment, dresses and beauty products for their School Proms. There were many amazing stalls promoting different bits and pieces and was a fantastic night overall.
There was an excellent turnout of guests with the drinks and canapes flowing all night. The night started with the guests coming into the stall room and looking at all of our different products and services that we had to offer. A few people enquired about magic at their proms which is fantastic as magic is somewhat overlooked at School Proms. There was a magician at my prom when I finished college and it such a great art form to have as it gets people talking, icebreakers between students who perhaps haven’t spoken to each other much before and overall a great form of entertainment.
Catwalk Fashion Show
There was then a catwalk fashion show which was a great success and all of the people attending the event went to watch the showcase of potential prom dresses. The raffle prizes were then drawn which were great and helped us raise a lot of money for Wakefield Hospice. One of the students won my prize of a free hour of magic!
Overall it was a fantastic evening, met some great people and I will definitely be back to Hotel St Pierre in a few weeks to attend their Wedding Fayre as it is a fantastic venue and a first time visit for me.
Special thanks to Karen Huffinley from Get Gorgeous for organising the whole event and working with all of the suppliers and guests to make it a truly special evening. To top the whole event off, we managed to raise £1000 for Wakefield Hospice which exceeded our target.
